We need an English-proficient Electrical Engineer, based in Latin America, available to work remotely.We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, who embraces changes while maintaining strong attention to detail. Responsibilities: Develop electrical construction documents, including power plans, lighting plans, circuiting, riser diagrams, one-line diagrams, and panel schedules. Prepare and modify electrical drawings and Revit models. Design electrical systems for commercial interior renovation projects, including retail, office, restaurant, medical, hospitality, and similar project types. Perform electrical calculations, including load calculations, panel sizing, feeder sizing, voltage drop, and short-circuit calculations. Prepare electrical panel schedules and coordinate equipment requirements. Apply U.S. energy code requirements related to lighting controls and lighting power density calculations. Coordinate designs with architects, engineers, and project team members. Prepare clear construction notes and documentation using customary U.S. construction terminology. Maintain accurate project documentation in accordance with company standards. Requirements: Degree, diploma, or formal training in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 3+ years of experience in electrical design or electrical engineering. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with experience working within BIM environments. Experience preparing electrical construction documents for U.S.-based commercial projects. Knowledge of U.S. electrical systems, including 208V and 480V power distribution. Experience designing electrical circuiting, panel schedules, feeders, and distribution systems. Working knowledge of lighting systems, power distribution, low-voltage systems, and lighting controls. Ability to perform electrical calculations, including demand load calculations, energy compliance calculations (ComCheck/Title 24 preferred), voltage drop, and short-circuit analysis. Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable U.S. electrical standards. Ability to prepare clear written construction notes and communicate effectively in English. Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage tasks independently in a remote environment. Compensation: The salary range offered for this position varies from (USD) $2,000 - $3,300 per month, depending on seniority and skillset.
