Position will be full-time, onsite at our office in El Segundo, CA.Information Systems and Cyber Division (ISCD) staff couple the latest in information system technologies, such as elastic compute clouds, containerization, microservices, real-time operating systems, and visualization frameworks, with expertise in cyber security, software architecture, software engineering, data science, Artificial Intelligence, process improvement, and software development to deliver responsive, resilient, high-performance software intensive systems to our Intelligence Community, DoD, and civilian customers.Job SummaryThe qualified candidate will become part of the Engineering Applications Department (EAD) whose focus is on developing innovative tools and applications to support civil, commercial, and national security space systems. From virtual and augmented reality, to web, cloud, and desktop visualizations; EAD evaluates and creates unique visual experiences that present data and analysis to key decision makers. Position will be responsible for working with the team to transform complex engineering prototypes and concepts into modern animations and gaming applications.What You'll Be DoingProvide support to developers and artists to add assets and functionality to existing space applicationsDirectly contribute to the setup and design of new projects that can be deployed to multiple platforms – Windows, Linux, VR/AR headsetsAssist in streamlining backend data tools into game engine interfaces/applicationsDemonstrate the ability to work both independently and/or cooperatively within a teamAssist in the development of immersive technology applications to enhance collaboration and understanding of space conceptsLearn and grow through new work opportunities, training, and mentorship from experienced staffWhat You Need to be SuccessfulBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Game Design, or STEM related program, pursuing or conferring within 12 monthsMinimum GPA of 3.0Academic knowledge and/or project experience related to Unity Game Engine developmentGeneral understanding and familiarity with version control softwareAbility to code using C#, C++, or Python programming languagesKnowledge with game development principles and 3D graphics con...
