About the RoleCurtin College is seeking a teaching-focused Academic (Full-time, Ongoing) to deliver high-quality, student-centred teaching and contribute to strong student success outcomes within the Diploma of Commerce.This role includes teaching across the program, including CCPB (Communication, Culture and Indigenous Perspectives in Business) and other business-related units. A key aspect of the position is supporting students’ academic literacy and communication skills development, particularly for first-year and ESL/EAL learners. You will help students build capability in academic writing, critical thinking, research, referencing, and oral communication, alongside discipline-specific learning.This position incorporates teaching, unit coordination, and program contribution. You will coordinate and deliver units, lead teaching teams, and oversee assessment and quality assurance processes. The role also includes responsibility for unit-level academic administration, student progress monitoring, and compliance with institutional standards.Working closely with the Program Manager, you will contribute to program development, curriculum review, accreditation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with Curtin University and supporting strong student progression outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesUnit Coordination and TeachingDevelop, coordinate, and deliver engaging learning experiences aligned with unit learning outcomes, university standards, and AQF requirementsTeach across Diploma of Commerce units, including CCPB and other business-related subjectsIntegrate academic literacy and communication skill development into teaching to support ESL/EAL and first-year learnersEnsure consistent delivery of assigned units across campuses, including planning, communication, and coordination of teaching activitiesLead and support sessional teaching staff, providing guidance on curriculum, assessment, and teaching practiceAssessment and Quality AssuranceDesign, implement, and review assessment ta...
