This role will also be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards under ASPE and providing insightful analysis to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent technical skills, prior experience in full-cycle accounting, strong attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly.The role will also play an active role in continually establishing and improving internal financial processes and controls within the department. Salary range is $70,000 - $80,000 (Compensation is based on experience). Our people are the cornerstone of our business. Complete month-end/year-end close processes, including preparing account reconciliations, journal entries and supporting working papersEnsure accuracy and completeness of accruals, including proper coding and recording of revenue, expenditures and balance sheet transactionsAssist in reviewing, analyzing and investigating accounts, including reconciling data across systems Support the preparation and consolidation of monthly financial statements and recording of inter-company transactions across multiple subsidiariesAssist with interim/year-end audit processes within scheduled deadlinesSupport accounts receivable and accounts payable functionsLiaise and work closely with other finance functions across multiple subsidiariesPerform ad hoc projects/assignments as required, including system enhancement and process improvement initiatives Undergraduate Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fieldCPA designation with 3-5 years of related accounting experience and strong knowledge of ASPE and multi-entity consolidationsExperience at a Canadian Public Accounting firm is preferredExperience in the health care sector is an assetAdvanced knowledge in Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.)Ability to work within established deadlines in a high growth and rapidly changing environmentProficiency in using accounting software, financial management tools and spreadsheets#corp_shc2  This position is a current vacancy Spectrum Health Care is thrilled to be named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies.
