Xaira is headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, and London.About the Role As the Accounting Manager, reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, you will manage and administer all accounting operations and other ad hoc analysis as required. You will help manage a team of contractors supporting day to day functions while laying the groundwork for an in-house team that you will build and grow over time. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will have the unique opportunity to create scalable systems, establish best practices, and drive the development of a robust accounting infrastructure that positions Xaira for long-term success. Key Responsibilities Participate in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial close process, preparing journal entries, balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations and analyses for various accounts timely, including but not limited to prepaids, accruals, leases (ASC 842), fixed assets and account reconciliations. Prepare the monthly management financial packages (with analysis) and other management reports as requested (this includes understanding and clearly articulating the financial results of the company and preparing balance sheet, income statement fluctuation) Reconcile payroll-related accounts and prepare payroll journal entries. Collaborate and coordinate with various business partners to obtain required financial reporting information and develop improvements to the financial reporting process. Assist account payable operations, including vendor invoices, payment processing, and purchase order reconciliation. Identify opportunities to automate and improve accounting processes using ERP systems or other tools. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including tax filings, audit readiness, and financial reporting standards. Work with cross-functional teams across the company to ensure proper support for the business unit. Able to deliver results in a fast-paced work environment.
