Job Description

Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is recruiting a BC/BE Acute Care/Trauma Surgeon to join its highly respected Trauma and Surgical Critical Care Specialists team. This outstanding opportunity offers the chance to practice at an ACS-verified Level I Trauma Center and tertiary referral center while playing a key role in the continued growth of an academic Acute Care Surgery program in partnership with the UMKC School of Medicine.

Position Highlights

Join an established ACS-verified Level I Trauma Center and a collaborative, mission-driven team dedicated to excellence in trauma surgery, acute care surgery, and surgical critical care, offering a unique blend of advanced clinical practice, resident education, clinical research, and leadership opportunities within one of the Midwest’s premier healthcare organizations.

Practice the full spectrum of Acute Care Surgery, including trauma surgery, emergency general surgery, and surgical critical care, while managing critically ill surgical patients in a high-acuity academic environment.

Opportunity to perform minimally invasive and robotic procedures utilizing the da Vinci Surgical System.

Participate in a comprehensive Surgical ICU program providing care for trauma, emergency general surgery, transplant, surgical oncology, neurosurgical, and other complex surgical subspecialty patients.

Work within a robust multidisciplinary team supported by experienced critical care nurses, pharmacists, therapists, and five dedicated Advanced Practice Providers.

Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery through the American Board of Surgery and certified or eligible for certification in Surgical Critical Care
