We seek qualified instructors to teach face-to-face lecture and laboratory courses during the daytime hours in Organic chemistry courses as well as general chemistry courses. This is for the spring semester with potential to teach in the fall and summer as well. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining a safe environment for instruction and learning in a laboratory setting.Salary:3-hour lecture courses = $3,000, 3-hour laboratory = $2,000Required Education and Experience:Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related field, from a regionally accredited institution.Must have 18 graduate credit hours in related area.Preferred Education and Experience:Experience teaching at the college level.Experience working with all students from different backgrounds and settings.Completed Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field.Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.Strong self-discipline and ability to work independently.Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.Application Instructions:For detailed instructions on how to apply for any positions on our website, please use the following link: http://www.tamusa.edu/humanresources/job-opportunities/index.html Applicants must submit the following to be considered: ApplicationA Curriculum Vitae (CV)A Letter of Interest – make sure to include which chemistry course subjects you feel comfortable teaching and a teaching statement/philosophy.
