Position SummaryThe PCA (Pre-Conditioned Air) Unit Technician is responsible for the inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of pre-conditioned air (PCA) systems and related airport ground support equipment. This position ensures PCA units operate safely and reliably to provide conditioned air to aircraft at airport gates while maintaining compliance with company, airport, OSHA, EPA, and manufacturer standards. The technician performs mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration-related repairs while supporting operational uptime and minimizing equipment downtime in a fast-paced airport environment.Job Responsibilities:These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned. Perform preventive maintenance on PCA units in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company schedules.Diagnose and repair issues across mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and control systems.Troubleshoot and service components including compressors, blowers, motors, pumps, fans, valves, sensors, thermostats, relays, contactors, and electrical circuits.Inspect, maintain, and repair refrigerant systems, including leak detection and component replacement.Conduct electrical testing using diagnostic equipment and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.Replace defective components and verify proper system functionality after repairs.Accurately document maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and inventory records.Adhere to all OSHA, EPA, FAA, airport authority, and company safety regulations.Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe, clean, and organized condition.Respond promptly to equipment failures and emergency service calls.Coordinate with operations, airport personnel, and maintenance team members to minimize downtime and disruptions.Assist with the installation, commissioning, and upgrades of PCA equipment and related systems.Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsValid Driver's LicenseTwo (2) years of experience maintaining HVAC, industrial mechanical, refrigeration, or similar equipment preferred.Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.Ability to read wiring diagrams, technical manuals, ...
