FTMO recently acquired OANDA Group, one of the world’s leading online trading groups. We are looking for a proactive, hands-on legal professional who will work as part of OANDA's AML Team. Someone who takes true ownership, actively manages legal risks, and drives corporate governance excellence across our retail brokerage.

OANDA's AML team is responsible for the onboarding AML-associated decisions across Europe and BVI Divisions, thereby ensuring that the onboarding of new clients is in adherence with relevant local regulations and legal requirements, in support of continued OANDA growth. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across KYC Processing teams, the Anti-Financial Crime team, Sales, CCM, and CX teams, as well as the Compliance team.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

- Onboarding AML-associated decisions and risk assessment, exercising both discretion and judgement, and using initiative to conduct appropriate investigations:

- Reviewing and assessing individual new account applications.

- Reviewing and assessing corporate new account applications (including determination of ultimate beneficial owners and verification of any discrepancies with the Central Register of Actual Beneficiaries (CRBR)).

- Reviewing and assessing Professional and Experienced classification requests.

- Reviewing and assessing new Affiliates/ IBs.

- SME (subject matter expert) and point of referral/ escalation for:

- PIU updates.

- Deceased clients.

- Closing accounts.

- Joint accounts.

- Power of Attorney.

- Application anomalies.

- MiFID II data mismatches.
