Area Ministry Director — North Florida (Undergraduate Ministry)Work Location:FloridaJob Type:Full timeAn Area Director leads and oversees a ministry team to plant and to grow witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus on college and university campuses. Through these groups, we believe ever-increasing numbers of students and faculty from all ethnic groups and areas of the campus will be transformed by the gospel. We expect to see campuses increasingly become places where people, ideas, and structures flourish for the common good and to the glory of God. We confidently anticipate that our InterVarsity alumni will be growing disciples and change agents across the country and around the world.The North Florida Area is currently comprised of campus work in the cities of Tallahassee, Jacksonville, and Gainesville, with two Campus Staff Ministers and three Campus Ministry Interns. With a strong emphasis on prayer and Scripture engagement, the team works together to host events together for students, alums, and ministry partnership development. They have a strong team culture of collaboration and trust, prayer and worship, and student discipleship. For the past several years, the North Florida Area has hosted a summer student internship program which has helped to both guide and prepare prospective staff for the Field.We are looking for an Area Director who can support and resource the work of the city teams in Tallahassee and Gainesville, while also growing the work in Jacksonville and planting new witnessing communities on multiple rural community college campuses.
