The business serves a wide breath of industrial sectors including pharmaceutical, food and beverage, environmental, process minerals, mining, coal, cement and metals, as well as academic, government, safety, and security. This position will be based out of our Oakwood Village Plant in Ohio.How Will You Make an Impact?:The Assembly Technician II will work on a variety of radiation detector assemblies for both government and commercial customers.A Day in the Life:Set up appropriate equipment, tools, jigs using established procedures, and knowledge of the assigned technology, systems, and components, and resolve any issues outside desired resultsDaily production work assembling a variety of small radiation detectorsUnderstanding and maintaining critical work cell Operations metricsBasic inventory management, such as pulling parts lists and providing inventory reportsManaging inventory and documentation for assembly needsEducation:High school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience:Required: 1 year experience in a manufacturing settingPreferred: 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related fieldKnowledge, Skills, Abilities:Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, and other manufacturing documentationDemonstrate proper use of simple hand/machine tools, electronic/manual test equipment and mechanical measuring devicesProficient in the use of a personal computer to retrieve technical drawings, documents, and instructionPhysical Requirements / Work EnvironmentHigh degree of fine finger and hand dexterity is requiredStationary positionAbility to lift/push/pull up to 50 poundsAbility to work in warehouse environment under various temperaturesWhat We OfferCompensationCompetitive Hourly Pay RateAdditional shift differential for 2nd shift and 3rd shift positionsAnnual performance-based bonusAnnual merit performance-based increaseExcellent BenefitsBenefits & Total Rewards | Thermo Fisher ScientificMedical, Dental, & Vision b...
