We anticipate the new hire will assist VSCEB at WSU to further grow our vibrant research and educational programs. These positions will be located at the WSU Pullman campus, and the individuals hired will be expected to join existing faculty members on August 16, 2027.The VSCEB is recruiting for multiple tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant and/or Associate Professor levels. Appointments will be made based on candidates' qualifications; please refer to the Required and Preferred Qualifications section below for additional details. The successful candidate is expected to establish a dynamic, externally funded, nationally recognized research program, teach core and elective undergraduate and graduate courses in chemical engineering, mentor a varied group of students, perform professional service, and publish scholarly work. VSCEB is excited to welcome outstanding candidates working in heterogeneous, homogeneous, or bioinspired catalysis with a strong component in artificial intelligence (AI)-driven automation laboratories and data science to tackle pressing challenges in energy, environment, and bioeconomy. Preference will be given to candidates working in research areas that strengthen our existing research programs such as heterogeneous catalysis, electrocatalysis, and computational catalysis, plastic upcycling, and carbon-negative H2 production. Successful candidates are expected to build collaborations within the Voiland School and with the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, other WSU departments, nationally and internationally.Additional Information:9-Month Academic Salary:Assistant Professor: $110,000 - $120,000 | Commensurate with experience and qualificationsAssociate Professor: $120,000 - $135,000 | Commensurate with experience and qualificationsIn accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position.
