Additionally, it will collaborate in program and recruiting strategy to build and maintain a high-performing NCAA Division I men’s and women’s Cross Country and Track & Field program, with a particular focus on Cross Country and mid-distance/distance areas. It will also assist with the entirety of the program and other event areas as defined by the Director.Job Description:Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree.Professional level of experience or specialized expertise.Skills or competencies related to the sport through previous playing and/or coaching experience.Demonstrates independent judgement and discretion in the instruction and coaching of student-athletes in individual skill instruction and small group sessions.Demonstrated leadership abilities gained through prior playing and/or coaching experience.Demonstrated attention to detail and strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to lead small and large group discussions.Strong computer skills and the ability to utilize the latest advances in technology.Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions, and have the demonstrated ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.NCAA compliance certification.Valid Driver’s License.Preferred Qualifications:Master’s Degree.Sport specific coaching certification.Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience in track & field throwing events.Conditions of Employment:Must meet physical requirements for the job, including the ability to participate in and lead strenuous physical activities.Must work nights and weekends.Frequent overnight travel during week and on weekends on a monthly basis t...
