Headquartered in London with global offices, Cognism’s contact data and contextual signals are trusted by thousands of revenue teams to eliminate the guesswork from prospecting.OUR WORK MODEL: Hybrid: This is a hybrid role, requiring you to work from our London office 3 days per week, with flexibility to work remotely on other days.  THE ROLE: As Assistant Controller at Cognism, you will play a hands-on role in overseeing core financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, effective cash management, and compliant equity administration. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will act as a key partner in maintaining strong financial controls while helping scale processes to support the company’s continued growth.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare and deliver monthly financial reporting packages for external and internal stakeholders. Ensure the accuracy of consolidated financial results, including preparation and review of flux analyses for material variances. Support the CFO with treasury operations, ensuring compliance with internal investment and liquidity policies. Prepare and maintain a rolling 90-day cash flow forecast, providing visibility into short-term liquidity and funding needs. Manage equity compensation plans in Carta, including ongoing administration, reconciliations, and compliance with annual ERS and other regulatory filings. Partner with the Corporate Controller to develop, document, and maintain accounting policies and procedures. Assist in annual audit fieldwork and ensure timely and successful completion. Identify opportunities to reduce close and reporting cycle times through process improvements, automation, and elimination of non-value-added activities. Support special projects, financial analysis, and ad-hoc initiatives as the business evolves.  REQUIREMENTS: ACCA (or equivalent professional certification) 7+ years of post-qualification accounting experience, including experience in a multi-entity environment.  Experience in PE or VC backed companies preferred. Public accounting experience (Big 6). Experience with multi-book accounting in NetSuite OneWorld strongly preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Proven project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
