Job Description:The Berklee Career Center is seeking an innovative Assistant Director, Experiential Programs to join a transformational career team. Operating across seven specialized career communities (business, composition, design, education, health/wellness, performance, and production), you will blend course instruction, curriculum design, and individual coaching to help students develop an entrepreneurial mindset. In this role, you will bridge classroom learning with practice-based opportunities to launch creative careers. At Berklee, your work directly supports the next generation of creative leaders.Key ResponsibilitiesCareer Education & Curriculum Delivery:Course Instruction: Serve as an internship course instructor, leading student cohorts each semester across experiential learning frameworks (such as LENS and Experiential Design Labs).Program Design: Collaborate with deans and faculty to design and deliver career education curricula, workshops, and seminars tailored to music, technology, and entertainment industries.Event & Project Operations: Manage administrative logistics for classroom visits, guest speaker sessions, clinics, auditions, bootcamps, and campus career fairs.Supervision: Mentor and supervise graduate assistants and undergraduate student staff supporting career center initiatives.Advising & Industry Engagement:Holistic Coaching: Provide 1-on-1 and group career advising for students and alumni on job search strategies, portfolios, interviews, networking, and salary negotiation.Career Community Leadership: Lead an assigned career community sector, partnering with department chairs to align resources with evolving industry trends.Employer Connections: Collaborate with Industry Engagement teams to cultivate internship and job opportunities, connecting students with global employers and alumni.What You'll BringEducation & Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of experience in career services, recruiting, or performing arts/entertainment industries.Instructional Skills: Demonstrated experience in curriculum design, course facilitation, and teaching across in-person and online formats.Advising & Domain Expertise: Strong knowledge of career development theories, recruiting practices, and employment trends within music, tech, and entertainment.Core Competencies: Excellent public speaking, project management, and data reporting skills, paired with a commitment to supporting diverse student populations.Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for key campus events.Why Choose Berklee?Mission-Driven Impact: Directly shape the professional pathways and entrepreneurial success of global performing artists.Cultural Access: Enjoy nightly, unrivaled access to world-class music, theater, and dance performances across campus venues.Total Rewards: Top-tier health/dental plans, an institutional 403(b) retirement match, generous PTO, tuition benefits, and a paid winter break.Hiring Ran...
