Title:                          Associate Chief of Staff Reports to:            Chief of Staff Location:                Redwood City, CA Classification:    Exempt   Overview: The Associate Chief of Staff is a high-impact, hands-on role supporting the Chief of Staff and CEO across strategic priorities, Executive Office operations, executive communications and essential administrative support. The position offers broad exposure to the Company and senior leadership while building experience across strategy, operations, Board activities, investor relations and corporate finance. The role will begin with a structured transition period before the Chief of Staff’s approximately three-month maternity leave. The Associate Chief of Staff will overlap with the Chief of Staff to build context, establish key relationships and complete a clear handoff, then assume expanded responsibility for continuity of Executive Office operations during the leave. This is a permanent position reporting to the Chief of Staff. Following the leave period, the role will continue as a strategic partner and source of leverage to the Chief of Staff. It is designed as a growth opportunity, with the potential over time to move into a broader role in Commercial, Business Development, Investor Relations or Finance, based on performance, interests and business needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maternity Leave Transition and Coverage Partner closely with the Chief of Staff before the leave to develop business context, establish relationships and complete a structured transition of priorities, processes and key stakeholder responsibilities. During the approximately three-month leave, maintain the operating cadence of the Executive Office and coordinate CEO-facing priorities, critical meetings, communications and follow-up. Prepare the CEO and senior leaders for key decisions and engagements through concise analyses, briefing materials, presentations, agendas and pre-reads. Attend selected executive and cross-functional meetings; capture decisions, actions and owners; drive follow-through; and escalate sensitive issues appropriately. Support a smooth return transition by maintaining clear documentation and preparing an effective handback of responsibilities and open items. Executive Operations and Administrative Support Manage scheduling for the CEO and Chief of Staff, including coordinating internal and external meetings, resolving conflicts and ensuring appropriate preparation and follow-up. Coordinate business travel for the CEO, including itineraries, transportation, accommodations and related logistics. Prepare and submit expense reports accurately and on a timely basis.
