Associate Plant Maintenance Specialist / Staff Plant Maintenance SpecialistRequired Skills & QualificationsDemonstrated experience with diesel-powered emergency standby generation systems, including operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and regulatory compliance.Strong knowledge of emergency power generation infrastructure, including generators, paralleling systems, and load management.Experience supervising or leading personnel responsible for the maintenance and operation of standby power generation equipment.Working knowledge of switchgear systems, including medium- and low-voltage distribution equipment, protective relays, and power system coordination.Experience with Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) and Automatic Bus Transfer (ABT) systems, including testing, troubleshooting, and operational oversight.Proficiency with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and industrial control systems used to monitor and control power generation and electrical distribution equipment.Experience utilizing and interpreting SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems for monitoring, alarming, data analysis, and operational decision-making.Ability to diagnose complex electrical, mechanical, and control system issues related to emergency power generation and distribution systems.Knowledge of applicable industry standards, electrical codes, safety regulations, and preventive maintenance practices associated with emergency standby power systems.Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills with the ability to oversee contractors, technicians, and maintenance programs supporting critical power infrastructure.This position provides supervisory oversight for the operation, maintenance, reliability, and compliance of the organization's emergency standby power generation systems, with a primary focus on diesel generators, switchgear, automatic bus transfer systems, PLC controls, and SCADA platforms.
