Moller – Maersk and operates one of the world’s most comprehensive networks of container terminals, with more than 20,000 employees operating terminals across 36 countries.APM Terminals plays a critical role in enabling the global Maersk Ocean and Logistics network, while also serving shipping lines, beneficial cargo owners, freight forwarders, intermodal logistics providers, and local port authorities, customs, and government bodies. As part of the broader Maersk strategy, APM Terminals is accelerating the transformation from a portfolio of independently operated terminals into a safer, better, and globally integrated terminals operator. We are currently looking for an Associate Software Engineer (JL2) to join our APM FLOW Integration team, based in Bangalore, India. Key ResponsibilitiesSoftware Development & AutomationDevelop and maintain software components using Java.Write clean, readable, maintainable, and testable code.Develop and maintain automated test cases for applications and integrations.Contribute to reusable automation frameworks and testing utilities.Debug application and integration issues and work with senior engineers to identify root causes.Participate in code reviews and follow established engineering standards. Testing & QualityUnderstand requirements and translate them into appropriate test scenarios and test cases.Execute automated and manual tests to validate application functionality and reliability.Develop basic API and integration tests.Analyze test failures and help identify root causes.Contribute to improving test coverage, automation, and overall software quality.Document test cases, defects, test results, and technical findings. Event-Driven Data FlowsDevelop an understanding of event-driven architectures and distributed systems.Work with technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging platforms.Support testing and troubleshooting of event-driven microservices.Validate data flow, consistency, and processing across integrated systems.Learn how real-time events move between different services and applications. AI & Engineering InnovationDevelop an interest in AI-assisted software development and testing.Support team initiatives to leverage Generative AI for test case generation, automation, code assistance, debugging, documentation, and engineering productivity.Participate in AI proof-of-concepts and innovation initiatives within the FLOW Integration team.Explore opportunities to use AI to improve automation coverage, defect detection, testing efficiency, and software quality.Learn and experiment with emerging AI tools rele...
