Job Summary
We are seeking an Automation Controls Engineer to design, program, and support automation systems across our manufacturing operations. This role focuses on PLC programming, system integration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automated equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production.
Key Responsibilities
Controls Design & Programming
- Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and motion control systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
- Support integration of robotic systems (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa) and automated equipment.
- Create and maintain electrical schematics, control narratives, and functional specifications.
System Integration & Support
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and startup of automated equipment.
- Work with vendors and integrators during system builds, FAT, and site acceptance.
- Interface with MES/SCADA systems and plant networks (EtherNet/IP, Profinet, OPC UA).
Troubleshooting & Maintenance
- Diagnose and resolve controls-related issues on the production floor.
- Provide ongoing support to minimize downtime and improve system reliability.
