If you're driven by purpose, energized by innovation, and ready to help shape the future of precision medicine at scale, this is where you belong.We are seeking an Automation Service Engineer I/II, Oncology to provide service support to the laboratory operations team and to be responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of laboratory equipment utilized. This position requires a candidate that is strong in root cause analysis, application support and repair of equipment commonly used in the Next Generation Sequencing workflow. The role requires a detail-oriented candidate with experience in a regulated environment, exceptional documentation (GDP) abilities and strong written and verbal communication skills. This is an onsite position in our facility in Menlo Park, CA. Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, or Tuesday - Saturday PM shift Responsibilities: Provide service, support, and troubleshooting for automated processes and instrumentation. Perform and coordinate maintenance work on laboratory equipment. Troubleshoot, conduct root cause analysis, and problem solving on lab instruments. Carry out Installation, Operational, and Process Qualifications on new equipment as necessary. Collaborate with Quality Control to ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with regulatory requirements. Effectively coordinate with vendors as required for equipment issues. Maintain equipment parts inventory and well-organized equipment records. Prepare documentation as needed for equipment operation and maintenance. Propose and design plans for process improvements. Represent the equipment and automation teams in cross-functional meetings. Undertake special projects as assigned. Requirements: BS degree in a scientific discipline. 3+ years of experience in operating and troubleshooting laboratory equipment, preferably high-throughput molecular biology equipment, especially liquid handlers Strong customer focused service experience.
