Beauty Business Development Representative
This role is open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Please note that as this role supports U.S.-based clients, candidates must be available to work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone.
The Beauty Business Development Representative will support the growth of beauty brands across the U.S. and Canada, with a primary focus on developing business with independent accounts such as perfumeries, apothecaries, and spas.
Working closely with the Sales Manager, the Beauty Business Development Representative will focus primarily on opening new accounts while also supporting existing account relationships and administrative sales activities.
Approximately 85% of the role will focus on identifying, prospecting, and opening new accounts, while approximately 15% will involve CRM management, Faire administration, reporting, order monitoring, and other sales support activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
NEW ACCOUNT PROSPECTING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Identify potential independent retail accounts across the U.S. and Canada.
- Research prospective accounts based on the brands they currently carry, price points, and other relevant factors.
- Build prospect lists for new potential accounts.
- Contact prospects through email, cold calling, in-person outreach, and other appropriate channels.
- Use social networks, magazines, and other media creatively to identify potential clients.
- Communicate key information about the brands to generate prospect interest.
- Answer detailed questions from prospective accounts throughout the sales process.
- Identify the support required to secure new business.
ACCOUNT OPENING & SALES SUPPORT
- Recommend opening orders based on the needs of each prospective account.
- Develop personalized offers involving retail products, testers, sampling, and free versus billed SKUs.
- Organize and deliver training for new client accounts.
- Support retail marketing initiatives such as windows, sampling, and partnerships to help make new launches successful.
- Maintain relationships with existing accounts while supporting new account growth.
CRM & PIPELINE MANAGEMENT
- Maintain the CRM pipeline with new prospects and accounts.
- Keep prospect information, activities, and opportunities up to date.
- Review the sales pipeline with the Sales Manager on a weekly basis.
- Organize, prioritize, and consistently follow up on sales opportunities.
SALES ADMINISTRATION & REPORTING
- Help manage Faire, including processing orders, messaging customers, and general account maintenance.
- Update reporting for each brand daily and review results with the Sales Manager weekly.
- Collaborate with the wider sales and accounting teams to monitor open orders.
- Help ensure purchase orders ship as scheduled.
- Support various ad-hoc projects as needed.
BRAND REPRESENTATION
- Represent the brands professionally throughout prospect and account interactions.
- Maintain consistency in brand messaging and image.
- Complete assigned responsibilities and projects within required deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE
- Proven sales experience with independent accounts.
- Experience consulting with business owners and building strong relationships with business partners.
- Experience supporting both new account acquisition and existing account relationships.
- Experience with HubSpot and Faire is a strong plus.
- Experience supporting sell-in and sell-through activities.
- Experience working independently within a small team.
SKILLS
- Strong sales and business development skills with the ability to identify, prospect, and develop independent accounts.
- Strong relationship-building skills when working directly with business owners and retail partners.
- Ability to conduct prospect research and identify appropriate potential accounts.
- Strong ability to organize, prioritize, follow up, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong proficiency with Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to maintain accurate CRM, pipeline, account, and reporting information.
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently within a small team.
- Ability to represent multiple beauty brands consistently and professionally.
- Ability to travel within the U.S. and Canada occasionally if required.

- Brand reporting is updated consistently and reviewed with the Sales Manager.
- Open orders and purchase orders are monitored in collaboration with the sales and accounting teams.
- Existing and prospective accounts receive consistent brand messaging and support.
