It’s time to look at Taylor.Your Opportunity:Golden Heart Child Care Center, a Taylor Corporation company in North Mankato, MN, is looking for a Child Care Center Teacher to join our infant and toddler team. In this role, you will support each child’s educational, developmental and physical needs, build positive relationships with families and help provide a safe, respectful and nurturing environment.Work Authorization:To be considered for Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.Your Responsibilities:Assist with planning and implementing the center’s daily program under the direction of the coordinator.Plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities for infants and toddlers.Support the educational, developmental and physical needs of each child.Maintain a safe environment by monitoring children, activities and equipment.Observe, document and report children’s development and behavior as assigned.Provide information for parent conferences and help communicate each child’s progress or concerns.Build positive, respectful relationships with children and their families.Help implement and maintain the center’s program in the coordinator’s absence.Follow all center policies, procedures and licensing requirements.Your Shift:Monday–Friday30–40 hours per week between 6:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.You Must Have:Education and credits that meet Minnesota Department of Human Services qualifications for the position.A minimum two-year degree that meets Department of Human Services qualifications.Willingness to carry out responsibilities in accordance with the center’s policies and philosophy.Ability to continuously observe and hear children’s activities.Ability to lift at least 60 pounds.We Would Also Prefer:Experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed child care setting.Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate learning activities.Current pediatric first aid and CPR certification.Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and coworkers.The anticipated hourly range for this position is $14-16. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
