Corporate Facility Maintenance Technician I
Job Summary
Medline is hiring a Maintenance Technician I at our Northfield headquarters!
Reporting to the Building Maintenance Supervisor and with limited supervision, the Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs at our corporate office.
Job Description
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform facility/building project work as assigned. Tasks include, but are not limited to, interior and exterior painting, light bulb/ballast replacement, door repairs, furniture installation, ceiling tile replacement, carpentry duties, plumbing repairs and maintaining operation logs.
- Respond to service requests and emergencies during and after business hours.
- Conduct site inspections and meter readings as required.
- Document all work in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and ticketing systems as appropriate and maintain accurate records.
- Support emergency preparedness initiatives and attend drills and exercises related to fire, disaster response, and business continuity.
- Adhere to OSHA, ADA and other regulatory requirements.
- Provide support with event set-ups.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience
- At least 3 years of experience with conveyor, automation, or robotics equipment repair and maintenance.
- Fundamental understanding of machinery/equipment.
- Basic skill level in multiple computer software packages including Microsoft Excel.
- Frequently move, lift, carry supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs and may have to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for minimum of 8 hours and up to 12 hours for up to 6 days a week.
- Must be willing to learn and/or operate equipment including but not limited to fork lift, scissor lift, electric power jack.
- Ability to continuously ascend and descend from ladders and stairs, work at heights and/or from a ladder, work from a lying down position, work with your hands above your head.
- Read information, often in small print (drawings).
- Follow appropriate safety procedures such as Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash, etc. and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while maintaining equipment, and ensure a safe work environment by eliminating potential equipment safety hazards.
- Willing to travel at least/up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, HVAC, or equivalent.
- Graduate of an apprenticeship program or hold current trade certification.
- At least 3 years of experience in a building maintenance position servicing a facility larger than 75,000 square feet.

The anticipated salary range for this position
$28.75 - $41.75 Hourly
The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
