We’d love to talk.Who you are: As Counsel, Business Services at Hometap, you'll serve as the primary legal partner for our vendor relationships, technology agreements, and commercial transactions that power our business operations. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across the company—including Product, Engineering, Operations, IT, Finance, Marketing, and Procurement—to negotiate and structure commercial arrangements that enable Hometap to scale efficiently while managing legal and regulatory risk. A strong candidate will have experience in consumer financial services or fintech, deep expertise in commercial contracts and technology agreements, excellent judgment in balancing legal risks with business needs, and a proven ability to work independently while supporting multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. You'll thrive in this role if you're a practical, business-minded attorney who can move quickly, communicate clearly, and build strong cross-functional relationships. What you'll do: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including vendor agreements, technology agreements (SaaS, cloud services, software licenses), professional services agreements, marketing and advertising contracts, and supplier arrangements Partner with Procurement, IT, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams to structure commercial relationships that support business objectives while managing legal and regulatory risk Review and analyze powers of attorney and trust documents to ensure proper authorization for homeowner transactions; advise Investment Support and Operations on POA validity, trust administration, and successor trustee matters Provide day-to-day legal advice to business teams on operational and legal questions across a wide range of topics; serve as accessible legal resource for stakeholders across departments Support third-party risk management (TPRM) by assessing lega...
