In the role of Dental Therapy Clinical at NTC, the position supports the Dental Therapy program by providing clinical instruction and reinforcing student learning in alignment with program outcomes. The role contributes to student evaluation and support, maintains professional competence through continuing education, and participates in select program quality improvement and accreditation related activities as assigned.In the role of Community Practitioner at BCHC, this position provides dental therapy services for BCHC consistent with WI Dentistry Examining Board s. 447.06 (3) (b), and under the direct, indirect, or general supervision of a qualifying dentist with whom the dental therapist has entered into a collaborative management agreement. The type of supervision depends on the accumulative hours the licensed dental therapist has worked. The Dental Therapist provides services, treatments, and procedures that by education, supplemental training, licensure, and demonstrated performance they are qualified to perform, and that align with the parameters of the collaborative management agreement.The position is generally 30 hours per week at NTC salaried and 10 hours per week at BCHC hourly, with flexibility based on academic and clinical priorities. It supports student learning and community oral health access and provides a pathway for new graduates to complete the 4,000 hours required for a full-time Dental Therapy Faculty position.
