Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Dining Services Supervisor to oversee dietary operations at our inpatient treatment facility in Duncansville, Pennsylvania. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced food service professional who is passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences while supporting individuals on their recovery journey.

As the Dining Services Supervisor, you will lead daily kitchen operations, supervise dietary staff, ensure compliance with food safety standards, and help provide nutritious, high-quality meals that contribute to the overall health and well-being of our clients.

Essential Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Supervise and support dietary staff through coaching, training, scheduling, and performance management
• Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new kitchen employees
• Ensure staff adherence to facility policies and food service procedures
• Provide leadership and support during daily operations

Food Service Operations

• Oversee daily meal preparation and food production activities
• Ensure meals are prepared according to established quality, nutrition, and portion standards
• Coordinate special dietary accommodations and meal modifications as needed
• Develop and implement menus that meet nutritional and regulatory requirements
• Monitor meal service to ensure client satisfaction and consistency

Inventory & Resource Management

• Manage purchasing, inventory levels, and food ordering processes
• Conduct regular inventory audits and maintain accurate records
• Control food costs while maintaining quality standards
• Monitor kitchen equipment and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed
• Ensure proper storage and organization of food and supplies

Compliance & Food Safety

• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food safety regulations
• Monitor food temperatures, storage conditions, and sanitation practices
• Maintain required documentation and inspection readiness
• Support compliance with accreditation and healthcare regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior food service leadership or kitchen supervision experience required
• Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, hospitality, institutional, or large-volume food service settings preferred
• Experience with staff scheduling, inventory management, and food cost control preferred

Certifications

• ServSafe Certification preferred
• Ability to obtain ServSafe Certification within one year of hire if not currently certified

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Understanding of nutritional standards and special dietary requirements

• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in a healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in behavioral healthcare, substance use treatment, inpatient treatment, or healthcare environments
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutrition guidelines
• Experience preparing meals for large groups or institutional settings
• Familiarity with healthcare food service regulations and accreditation standards

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout scheduled shifts
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds as needed
• Ability to work safely around commercial kitchen equipment
• Ability to perform duties in a fast-paced food service environment
