The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.Salary Range$139,400.00 - $230,000.00Target Openings1What Is the Opportunity?Travelers is seeking a Director in Bond & Specialty Insurance, Architecture to join our organization as we grow and transform our Enterprise Technology Solutions organization. Every business line in Bond & Specialty Insurance depends on shared platforms: the portals underwriters use daily, the Salesforce ecosystem brokers interact with, the document systems that generate policyholder communications, the payment and billing infrastructure that processes premium. These cross-domain capabilities connect a technology portfolio across Management Liability, Surety, Claim, and Specialty Cyber, and we need an architecture leader who can see across all of them.We're looking for a hands-on architecture leader to run BSI's Cross-Domain function. You'll lead a small team of architects while personally driving architecture for our highest-impact shared initiatives, including a major Experience Management transformation and the integration of AI-enabled capabilities into cross-cutting business workflows. You'll report to the Vice President, Chief Architect, and serve as the architecture bridge between the technology domain teams, enterprise platform organizations, and business stakeholders who depend on these shared capabilities daily.Success in this role requires balancing deep architectural expertise in cloud-native technologies, APIs, AI/ML, and emerging platforms with the business acumen to align to business objectives The ideal candidate orchestrates the technical strategy that empowers development teams - defining target states, creating technology roadmaps, and establishing architectural frameworks that accelerate innovation while maintaining standards and governance.
