The Role
The Enterprise Technology Risk & Analytics (ETRA) team is seeking a seasoned technology risk professional to lead risk oversight activities across Brokerage and Trade Management engineering. In this highly visible Director role, you will partner with engineering, operations, and risk leaders to proactively identify and manage technology risks, evaluate control effectiveness, influence strategic decision-making, and strengthen Fidelity's overall risk posture in emerging areas such as AI adoption, digital innovation and Cloud modernization.
The Expertise and Skills you Bring
- 10 plus years of experience in technology risk management, cybersecurity, controls, audit, or related risk disciplines within large financial services organizations.
- Proven leadership experience influencing senior executives and managing complex cross-functional initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of cloud native architectures, container platforms, CI/CD pipelines, application security and database management platforms.
- Ability to communicate complex technology risk concepts to executive leadership, risk committees, and regulators.
- Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, large language models, data science, automation, and associated governance risks.
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, engineering or a related field of study preferred.
- Professional technology risk certifications (CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CISM) and/or Cloud Certification(s) (CCSP, CCSK, AWS) preferred.
The Team
The Technology Risk team partners with the business to strengthen risk management practices, enable strategic initiatives, and promote a strong culture of governance and accountability. Key areas of focus include:
- Providing strategic risk leadership for major technology transformation and business initiatives.
- Leading enterprise-wide risk assessments across cloud, cybersecurity, data, AI, and operational technology domains.
- Advising technology and business leaders on risk appetite, control effectiveness, and remediation strategies.
- Identifying emerging risk themes and translating insights into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
- Partnering with Legal, Compliance, Enterprise Risk, and Internal Audit teams on regulatory, audit, and governance activities.
- Delivering risk reporting, metrics, and analytics that support executive decision-making and board-level transparency.
- Fostering a strong risk culture through collaboration, professional development, and effective risk management practices.
Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
