More about the roleJob SummarySignify is looking for an experienced Documentation Specialist & Technical Illustrator to create installation instructions for hardware products, including clear 2D technical illustrations.The role also contributes to technical writing and demo content for hardware and software applications. You will collaborate with global teams to deliver high-quality, user-centric documentation that enables installers to correctly mount and configure products.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn end-to-end creation of 2D technical illustrations and installation instruction documents guiding step-by-step installationDesign content for both:Print (folded in-box leaflets)Digital (PDF and web formats)Translate engineering inputs into intuitive visuals, diagrams, workflows, and textContribute to software application manuals, guides, and help contentCreate demo videos or walkthroughs for software and hardware where neededParticipate in content reviews, editing, and quality checksWork closely with engineering, product management, and global documentation teamsFollow structured authoring practices (DITA/CMS-based environments preferred)Adopt and follow established documentation processes and standardsEnsure compliance with templates and quality guidelinesManage multiple deliverables independently with minimal supervisionRequired Skills & QualificationsEducationDegree in Technical Communication, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Engineering, or related field, or relevant practical experienceExperience & Skills5–10 years of relevant experienceStrong expertise in 2D installation illustrations (must-have), Adobe tools (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)Familiarity with technical documentation, structured authoring tools (DITA/CMS) - preferredBasic video editing skills (Camtasia, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar)Core CompetenciesStrong visual communication and attention to detailAbility to simplify complex technical conceptsGood stakeholder communication and collaboration skillsHigh ownership and accountabilityWhy Join SignifyWork in a global Technical Communications team shaping user experienceBlend visual design with technical writingCollaborate with international stakeholdersDrive innovation in installation and digital content...
