Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.Our Collins Communication, Navigation & Surveillance team is looking for an Electrical Engineer to help design and maintain computer hardware components for our award winning avionics systems.This is an onsite position in Melbourne, Florida.What You Will Do:Review and maintain awareness of obsolete parts on assigned products. Provide appropriate resolution to obsolete parts.Design and analyze analog and RF circuits using schematic capture tools and performance simulation tools.Characterize analog and RF signals using oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.Design and analyze digital circuits including computer hardware components (e.g., processors, memory, interfaces), and their performance characteristics (e.g., throughput, processing architecture, timing, capacity).Provide supervision and technical guidance for PCB layout.Perform hands-on troubleshooting using engineering lab equipment.Perform validation and verification activities to ensure products meet design specifications.Contribute to engineering estimates for limited to moderate scope of electrical design problems.Review LRU defects trends, identify systemic root causes and process improvements and recommend new approaches, tools, and techniques that drive continuous improvements in the development processes.Use your excellent written and verbal communication for technical documentation and collaboration.What You Will Learn:Deeper knowledge in electrical har...
