You use your knowledge to write and optimize code that creates a bridge between pieces of software, allowing them to communicate. We’re looking for an embedded software engineer like you to develop technology for our clients’ most important mission-forward challenges.  As an embedded software engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll support the development of systems and tools for our clients. Using the latest tools and technology, you’ll write, test, and edit code in support of the team’s overall results. You’ll strengthen your skills as you develop as well as configure solutions based on the platform being used. The world can’t wait.You Have: 3+ years of experience working in embedded system developmentExperience working with microcontrollers, FPGA, or custom hardware platformsExperience applying C, C++, hardware interfaces including SPI and UART, and debugging tools in hands-on engineering environmentsExperience maintaining and expanding state machine designs to support system functionalityExperience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, engineers, and subject matter expertsExperience researching emerging technologies and integrated new concepts into project needsExperience interpreting schematics, datasheets, and system requirements to guide technical decisionsExperience documenting engineering work products, configuration, and test resultsSecret clearanceBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science and 3+ years of experience with software engineering or 7+ years of experience with software engineering in lieu of a degreeNice If You Have: Top Secret Clearance Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.CompensationAt Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being.
