SOLV Energy is a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, designing, building and maintaining utility scale solar, battery storage and high voltage substation projects nationwide.Job Description Summary:The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for project specific technical and administrative field-office deliverables to achieve contractual compliance, project profitability and schedule milestones.This role is located full-time on a jobsite in Yerington, NV and will require travel. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.Job Description:*This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assignedPosition Responsibilities and Duties:Perform all essential Project Engineer responsibilitiesAttend and document project meetings (scribe, save & distribute meeting minutes)Set up and maintain project filing systemUpdate and maintain all sets of drawings, specifications and logsDistribute required documentation to SubcontractorsDocument Non-conforming Reports in Sunscreen, track corrective actions and final sign offPrepare project specific QA/QC checklist for field inspectionsConduct QA/QC inspections and prepareAssist with preparation of Pre-task planning for Definable Features of Work and Golden Block processConduct and document SWPP inspectionsEvaluate field problems, prepare and submit RFI’s with Superintendent approvalPrepare and maintain RFI logsReview, evaluate, and transmit submittalsPrepare and maintain submittal logsOrganize and maintain progress photos for QA/QC, weekly & monthly reportsMaintain on site redline drawings and Permit set for AHJ reviewCollect and file all 3rd party testing resultsCollect and file calibration of testing equipmentCompile contract close out documents (Job Book, OEM manuals, as-built drawings, etc.)Document and track punch list work and sign offComplete other responsibilities as assignedMentor new Project EngineersParticipate in Department wide initiatives for Quality standardsContribute to the development and improvement of Standard Work Instructions for the fieldSupport Superintendent Asst.
