At Apex, you don’t just join a company, you help shape what comes next.  Environmental Scientist/Industrial Hygienist  Locations: Los Angeles or Orange County | ~50% field / 50% remote Apex is seeking an environmental professional with experience in industrial hygiene to perform asbestos, lead-paint, mold/moisture intrusion, exposure assessment, abatement monitoring, and related industrial hygiene and EHS compliance projects across Southern California.  Employee BenefitsThis role offers competitive compensation and a robust benefits package, a balanced mix of fieldwork and report writing, company sponsorship for professional and vocational training, work from home opportunity, collaboration with other industrial hygiene, EHS and other experts, and continued  professional development and growth afforded by a rapidly growing national environmental consulting company. Key Responsibilities Perform asbestos, lead-based paint (LBP), and microbial/moisture intrusion assessments, along with abatement oversight, with an approximate 50/50 split between field and office work Conduct safety and compliance assessments in accordance with regulatory standards and client requirements Support additional environmental services through cross-training, including: Exposure assessments Workplace safety evaluations Stormwater compliance inspections Soil and groundwater sampling Noise and air monitoring Aboveground Storage Tank (AST) inspections Execute work in alignment with project work plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and direction from project managers Manage scheduling and logistics across all project phases, from coordination and fieldwork through reporting Prepare clear, accurate, and technically sound client-ready reports using project-specific templates Collaborate with internal teams to support project delivery and ongoing professional development Mai...
