Facilities Waste Technician
Job DescriptionSalary up to £27,250 + 20% shift allowanceRenishaw has a requirement for a Waste Management Technician permanent basis working on a Double Day shift basis (6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm alternating weekly).The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our Miskin site.Key responsibilitiesThe collection and transportation of general site wasteCollecting recycling waste and its separation prior to disposalRemoval of waste using various compaction systemsSite litter picking in order to maintain the high level of cleanliness expectedKey requirementsThis is a manual role and very physically demanding – the successful applicant must be able to cope with this aspect of the roleThe ability to work alone for significant periods in all weathersA full and valid UK driving licenceThe ability to drive, manoeuvre and reverse various tractors and trailersDesirable requirementsA good level of PC literacyKnowledge of Health & SafetyKnowledge of COSHHPerson specificationThe successful applicant will have a high level of attention to detail, good initiative and an ability to implement continuous improvement. They will be self‑motivated and flexible in their approach to work.
