The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education/training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations.The Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting in a wide range of FP&A activities and data-driven analytics that support OC Sports & Entertainment. This position will play a significant role in the timely delivery and presentation of the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and monthly reporting and variance analysis. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesCreate, manage, and maintain complex financial planning models to support the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and long-term planningAnalyze actual results against budget and forecast, research variances, and communicate findingsPrepare monthly financial reporting packages for leadership and business operatorsCollaborate with leadership and operators to align financial plans with operational goalsWork with large data sets to answer critical questions and provide insights through key performance indicatorsEngage in ad hoc analysis to support business decision-making and strategic planningAssist in storytelling by preparing presentations and dashboards in support of executive meetings, monthly and quarterly business reviews, and various strategic and analytics projectsDrive process improvements and automation of financial reportingPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree required3+ years of finance or accounting experience requiredExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions; experience with Power BI strongly preferredProven record of discreetly handling sensitive and proprietary informationExcellent time management and organizational skillsCustomer service mindset whe...
