The successful candidate will manage the FR 2052a team of data scientists responsible for processing, analyzing, and monitoring liquidity data submitted by Large and Foreign Banking Organizations (LFBOs). This role is ideal for a data scientist looking to apply their skills to liquidity risk management or a liquidity risk specialist ready to lead a data-driven analytical team.The FR 2052a team works with the Complex Institution Monitoring Report, a critical regulatory dataset that provides quantitative information on assets, liabilities, funding activities, and contingent liabilities. This data supports the Federal Reserve's supervisory surveillance program and enables monitoring of liquidity risk profiles for institutions subject to Category I, II, III, or IV standards under Regulations YY and LL.The manager will oversee the team's work with very large and complex datasets, lead collaboration with System stakeholders including the FR 2052a team in New York, dedicated supervisory teams for LFBO firms, and staff at the Board of Governors. The individual will guide the team's analytical efforts, ensure high-quality reporting and data validation processes, and provide strategic direction for monitoring liquidity positions during both normal and stress periods.This position requires a regular on-site presence.Responsibilities:Manage and lead the FR 2052a data science team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and developing staff to accomplish team objectives and deploy resources effectivelyOversee data extraction, cleaning, and organization processes; lead the transformation of large-scale datasets from external to internal systems in a manner suitable for analysisServe as a subject matter expert on complex liquidity datasets; design, implement, and supervise data quality tests and validation processesDesign, maintain, and manage system databases, including ownership of data security protocols, provisioning of database access, and mapping and maintenance activitiesCollaborate with various System stakeholders to implement database and information system enhancements; support vendor data governance initiativesLead process automation efforts by identifying opportunities, designing enhancements, and implementing automated solutionsConduct and supervise analyses of complex technical and policy issues involving modeling, data analysis, and liquidity risk; recommend new approaches and strategiesPlan, execute, and close projects involving internal teams, supervisees, and external partnersPrepare and deliver clear, accurate, and concise communications both orally and in writing to Section/Project Teams, Division leadership, and external stakeholdersPresent work at forums within and across Divisions to share knowledge and foster collaboratio...
