Gate Clerk – Romulus
Universal Logistics is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Gate Clerk to manage driver and trailer activity entering and leaving the facility.
Starting Pay: $16.00/hour Paid Time Off: Available to eligible employees
Available Shifts
- 6:00 AM–2:30 PM: Tuesday–Saturday
- 2:00 PM–10:30 PM: Sunday–Thursday
- 10:00 PM–6:30 AM: Sunday–Thursday
- 10:00 PM–6:30 AM: Tuesday–Saturday
Additional shifts may be available based on operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Check drivers in and out using the Yard Management System (YMS)
- Verify and maintain accurate driver, trailer, and shipment information
- Communicate trailer movements and assignments with drivers and operations
- Assist with paperwork and follow gate security procedures
Qualifications
- Logistics, transportation, or gate experience preferred
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn YMS software
- Reliable with strong communication and attention to detail
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
