All Group Exercise Instructors are expected to deliver safe and effective classes to all levels of participants. This position will be under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Fitness & Wellbeing.Job DescriptionResponsibilitiesBuild safe, effective, and engaging group exercise class plans for participants at all fitness levels. Connect with participants to build rapport and be their accountability partner. Explain and demonstrate exercises in detail. Provide modifications and progressions for exercises. Explain and educate participants on safe and proper use of gym equipment.Check-in all participants using the Fusion software system prior to the start of every group exercise class. Report attendance after every class into the Group Ex Pro software system.Promote Campus Recreation programs and services. Inform participants on gym policies for safety and hygiene.Meet with Assistant Director as needed.  Assist with department-wide programs, staff trainings, etc. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsAccredited and current Group Fitness Instructor Certification and CPR/AED certification required. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent time management skills.
