About the job As a key growth accelerator, A11 partners with Europe’s most ambitious startups and scaleups, corporates and SMBs to connect them with top-tier talent ready to make an impact. We're currently partnering with Project A, one of Europe's leading early-stage VCs, with a portfolio that includes companies like Trade Republic, Stark, and Quantum Systems, and an early, credible position in emerging categories like defense tech. It helped scale some of the continent's most consequential startups, and now the company is hiring a Head of Communications (m/f/d) to own how the fund and its portfolio companies show up in the world. This is a rare opportunity: a standalone senior role where you'll run the entire function, with real autonomy to shape how Project A is known across the tech and venture ecosystem. The role focuses heavily on content creation strategy and building out their thought leadership presence - shaping what Project A and its portfolio say and ensuring it lands with the audiences that matter. You'll report directly to a Partner, with real autonomy to shape the brand of one of Europe's most recognised VCs, and you'll have the option to bring in external agencies wherever that adds firepower. Be part of this ambitious, genuinely collaborative team, and you'll have the access and backing to make the calls that matter. In this role, you’ll own: For the brand and press PR & positioning: drive the PR strategy, whether in-house or through the right agency partner, and decide what "great PR" looks like for Project A. Brand: bring creative ideas for how Project A actually shows up on LinkedIn, at conferences, and in the rooms and channels that matter. For the partners Content: own content end to end, from the idea to the finished LinkedIn post or press line, partnering with the leadership team and offering both strategic direction and hands-on writing support. For the portfolio Portfolio advisory: support portfolio companies on comms, especially around funding announcements, helping founders get their narrative and press strategy right. Network building: build and maintain a network of agencies, journalists, and partners the wider portfolio can draw on, so good comms infrastructure isn't something every company rebuilds from scratch. For the company Events: plan and run the event presence, from owned events to conference appearances, handling both logistics and the strategic call on which rooms to be in. AI operations: use AI tools fluently to build a robust AI operating system to extend your own output across research, drafting, production, and monitoring. What you'll need:  Several years of experience in comms/PR, ideally in VC, startups, or tech Existing relationships with journalists and media covering European tech and venture, or the ability to build them fast Fluent, hands-on use ...
