About Pacific Fusion Pacific Fusion was founded in 2023 with the mission to power the world with abundant, affordable, clean energy. You can read more about us in this letter from our founders.Why This Role Matters As the Infrastructure Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing theintegration of mechanical building system requirements for our nuclear fusiondemonstration system. You will work across several teams to develop thebuilding systems which enables us to achieve net facility gain. Duringconstruction you will work with design consulting engineering and contractors toensure a quality installation which can be safely maintained. Followingconstruction, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and futureupgrades of the building systems. This position is based in Albuquerque, NM and will require up to 50% travel toour San Leandro, CA facility during the design and permitting process.   What You'll Do Develop facility mechanical equipment requirements and guidelines forbuilding systems including HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and otherinfrastructure systems. Assist in the design and development of utility systems includingpneumatic, fluid, and vacuum systems. Interface with engineers, scientists, and technicians to obtain facilitymechanical inputs. Work with the Infrastructure Design Team to ensure building mechanicalsystems are documented and designed appropriately for permittingdesign, construction, commissioning, and operations. Develop building systems commissioning, maintenance, and operationsplans. What You Bring Minimum BS, Mechanical Engineering Minimum 7+ years of experience working in design, construction, facilityoperations, and commissioning for industrial, manufacturing, orresearch facilities Experience with HVAC, process piping, fire sprinkler, and plumbingsystems Hands on experience with industrial, manufacturing, or research facilitycommissioning and operations Strong multidisciplinary program management skills and ability to workdiligently across cross functional teams Proactive, doer, and self starter mindset Cooperative and positive attitude which influences your peers to be thebest versions of themselves Track record of reliability and ability to drive results Bonus Points For PE license Experience working in a ...
