We are looking for experienced “hands-on” project manager leaders who have proven track records of being solution and delivery focused, who can perform at a high level leading strategic, cross-functional, business facing and technical initiatives, and provide leadership, oversight and mentoring to the broader project management team. This position is perfect for a director level IT project manager who is open to embrace new methodologies of software development and project management, in particular Agile. The ideal candidate would thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment that is team centric and highly collaborative. This person should have both classic and Agile IT project management experience, and be able to leverage the two disciplines as appropriate.  • The selected candidate will manage complex software development, infrastructure, and integration projects in a fast paced, constantly changing dynamic environment• Responsible for effectively initiating, planning, scheduling, estimating, forecasting, coordinating, controlling, managing and delivering all activities for projects and related release initiatives• Oversee the day-to-day progress of project(s) and release initiatives with regard to time, budget, scope and quality• Apply proven project management techniques, methods and tools• Provide leadership, direction and facilitate integration activities with other Gap Inc IT departments to ensure successful implementation and support• Monitor and report to IT management on the status of project efforts (including status reporting, budget tracking, monthly forecasting)• Partner with Application Delivery to ensure that systems are developed to comply with architectural and testing standards and established methodologies• Aggressively manage risk and issues; and mitigation efforts as appropriate• Use innovative problem solving and critical thinking approaches to proactively solve a broad range of problems across technologies• Encourage de-centralized decision-making within teams, but acts as escalation point when consensus decisions cannot be reached• Provide status reports, presentations and demonstrations to all levels of management both within IT and business partner groups• Develop, attract and retain world class IT project management professionals• Champion best practices, standards, quality, consistency and continuous process improvement in project management• Set PM productivity pace and ensure that requested work is matched to qualified and available project management resources that are effectively transitioned to new assignments• Responsible for performance management of PM resources and ensures that resources are poised to successfully meet the objectives and goals of the division and develop and advance in professional project management competencies• Act as a role model for PM professionalism, critical thinking and quality *Minimum 12 Years IT Experience• Minimum 8 Years IT Project Management Experience• Minimum 2 Y...
