Together, we have the shared vision, advanced capabilities and talented teams to deliver next-generation solutions that patients and healthcare partners need today and into the future. Junior Database Administrator (DBA) We are seeking a Junior Database Administrator to join our Technology Platform team, supporting our international infrastructure with team members based across the EU and the US. In this role, you will help maintain and monitor the health, performance, and security of our database environments. This is a developmental position designed to build hands-on expertise as a cloud-based DBA, offering an ideal opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills in a production-level ecosystem. As the DBA team stands at the junction of multiple departments, your responsibilities and growth opportunities will expand as you progress toward the next level in your career. You will assist in monitoring, documentation, troubleshooting, and supporting cross-functional requests alongside senior team members. Key Responsibilities Cloud Infrastructure: Assist in managing AWS RDS instances by monitoring database health, identifying performance issues, and participating in root-cause investigations. Production Support: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure 24/7 database availability and rapid response to production incidents across our global infrastructure. Operational Integrity: Execute quarterly patching, monthly index reviews, and backup integrity testing within a live production environment. Development Support: Advance your T-SQL knowledge by participating in code reviews and assisting Developer and TechOps teams with query optimization and execution. Automation: Utilize Python, PowerShell, and other scripting languages to build or maintain automation tools (e.g., AWS Lambdas, GitHub Action workflows, etc.). Security & Compliance: Manage user permissions, SOPs, and disaster recovery runbooks while helping ensure regulatory framework compliance (including HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC2) across all database systems.
