Laboratory Assistant II, Product Biochemistry

We are seeking a Laboratory Assistant II to join our Product Biochemistry (PB) team, part of the Product Analytical and Process Development (PAPD) department, supporting the lab operations group. In this role, you will help manage and optimize all aspects of the lab environment — including lab management, process optimization, compliance and safety, resource allocation, and coordination & communication — while collaborating with the broader PB team.This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.When & where:Shift Requirements: Full-timeLocation: On-site laboratory settingFlexibility & travel: No travel; consistent on-site presence required to support routine lab operationsWhat you'll do:Support lab operations by receiving packages and entering product info into the Electronic Notebook (ELN)Manage sample shipment requests (internal, external, international) and maintain documentationAssist with sample distribution workflows and manage distribution pointsOrganize, catalog, and reconcile sample inventory and freezersAssist with managing non-database aliquot inventory and provide auxiliary support for aliquoting workflow as neededCoordinate biannual pipette calibrationsParticipate in LIMS database development, testing, and troubleshootingLearn and adapt to new laboratory practices (SOPs, protocols, procedures, etc.) with supervisionUpdate and manage shared document libraries and functional Excel worksheetsPrioritize and manage tasks in a high-throughput laboratory to ensure smooth operationSuggest key process improvement opportunities and help implement strategies to increase speed and efficiencySupport additional activities as they arise to continuously support PBG through future growth and expansionThe environment and physical rhythms of this role:This is a high-throughput laboratory role requiring the ability to lift and carry packages and supplies as needed.Willingness to learn and adapt to new laboratory practices, tasks, and responsibilities, with supervision, is required.Let's find out if we're a fit:Must-haves:High school diploma or associate degree with 0–3 years' experienceExcellent organization, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to work well within a team and individuallyAbility to lift and carry packages and supplies as neededPreferred / nice-to-haves:Service-oriented mindset and desire to provide quality customer serviceInterest in science and strong attention to detailWillingness to learn new tasks and responsibilities, with a solid understanding of workplace technologiesThrive today.
