Job Description SummaryThe Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME) plays a key role in bringing manufacturing processes to life — from process design and tooling to equipment implementation, new product introduction, and production support. This person will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost by solving shop-floor challenges, advancing manufacturing capability, and supporting production readiness for new and existing products. The ideal candidate combines strong manufacturing expertise, hands-on problem solving, and the ability to guide others in a fast-paced production environment.In this role, you will help improve manufacturing capability, support production readiness, solve critical shop-floor challenges, and enable safe, high-quality delivery for the business. This is primarily a individual contributor role with opportunities to provide coaching, mentorship and project management through influence.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesDefine and control production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. Includes Manufacturing Engineers.Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.Support production teams with problem solving and evolving manufacturing practices to better support customer delivery through safe and quality processes/technology.Source and oversee new equipment & new product introduction to production readiness.Support emerging technology platforms through Research & Development and TestingIn-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.Required QualificationsBachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 3 years of Manufacturing & Production Process and Equipment experience (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 7 years of Manufacturing & Production Process and Equipment experience)Desired CharacteristicsBachelor’s Degree in engineering or a related technical field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 5 years of Manufacturing & Production Process and Equipment experience (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 9 years of Manufacturing & Production Process and Equipment experience)Strong technical background CNC Machining and programmingDiverse knowledge of manufacturing process and how they relate to one anotherAbility to mentor guide individuals and related technical disciplinesFamiliar with automated control type systems and logic associated with them.Experience in aerospace, turbine, precision machining, or other regulated manufacturingStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Proven ability to plan, document, and execute ...
