What's Exciting About the Role Verifone is seeking an experienced MySQL Lead DBA who will be responsible for ensuring database performance, high availability, and security of clusters and single instances of MySQL instances. You will also be responsible for orchestrating upgrades, backups, HA/DR, and provisioning database instances. You will work closely with other teams, including application architects/ Sr. Developers and application support engineers for architecture design and SQL optimization, establishing and documenting best practices. As a Lead DBA, you’ll have the opportunity to make significant and direct impact on our database performance, applications, and solve some of the most complex challenges in cloud and on prem environments, while lead the team from a technical and development perspective. Key Responsibilities You will be responsible for ensuring that database management policies, processes and procedures are established and followed, adhering to ITIL good practice principles and are subjected to continuous improvement as per PCI standards. They will be responsible for reviewing system design changes to ensure they adhere to expected service standards and recommend changes to ensure maximum stability, availability and efficiency of the supported applications.
