YOUR CHALLENGE: Are you ready to help shape Blacklane’s legal and regulatory strategy as a trusted business partner? Reporting to the General Counsel, you will be a key member of Blacklane’s legal team. You will serve as a business-oriented advisor, supporting issues that are important to the company and partnering closely with the General Counsel to help set and implement Blacklane’s overall go-to-market, legal, and regulatory compliance strategy. You bring a practical, business-minded approach, sophisticated judgment, and the ability to help shape both legal and business strategy. You will: Serve as a core member of the legal team and a trusted advisor to the General Counsel and executive leadership, helping align legal support with Blacklane’s commercial objectives and broader business priorities. Act as a lead adviser on commercial matters, partnering closely with sales, operations, product, and leadership teams to structure and support go-to-market strategies, commercial initiatives, and broader business priorities across key markets. Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial, sales and technology agreements and related documentation, including vendor and partnership agreements and customer-facing terms. Advise on employment regulatory risk across Blacklane’s business model, including worker classification and misclassification issues and emerging EU regulatory regimes. Provide practical advice on German employment law and relevant cross-border employment issues, including employment documentation, workplace policies, and employee relations. Support disputes and pre-litigation matters across employment and commercial issues, and manage outside counsel, including matter scoping, strategic oversight, and budget management.  ABOUT YOU: You have: Completed the Second German State Exam in Law with strong results. At least 3 years of relevant legal experience, ideally gained in an international firm or in-house environment. The ability to provide legal and regulatory guidance on transportation matters and go-to-market strategies, proactively identify associated risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and document advice for legal and non-legal stakeholders. The ability to work effectively in a changing environment and translate legal and regulatory ambiguity into clear, practical guidance for business stakeholders. An effective problem-solving approach and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment while managing multiple assignments and conflicting priorities. Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills. Curiosity and a willingness to learn new technologies and ideas.
