Our Legal department supports all Point72 groups globally with practical advice on a variety of complex legal and regulatory matters in an ever-changing, dynamic environment.
What you'll do
- Build and own the operational backbone for the Legal department, partnering with the General Counsel and department leadership to execute long-term strategy, set priorities, and align resources with firm goals
- Develop and manage the annual legal department budget, track legal spend, identify cost-saving opportunities, and streamline invoice processing
- Improve core legal processes, including matter intake, triage, workflow routing, document management, knowledge management, and operational onboarding
- Design data infrastructure, reporting, and dashboards that show matter volumes, assignments, capacity, cycle times, throughput, and spend trends
- Lead the legal technology roadmap, including the evaluation, implementation, integration, administration, and adoption of systems and artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled workflows
- Govern automation and AI use to preserve privilege, respect information barriers, and meet regulatory defensibility expectations
- Manage operational relationships with legal technology vendors and outside counsel, including onboarding, billing guidelines, invoice review, and performance tracking
- Oversee entity management, corporate housekeeping, regulatory calendars, filings tracking, renewals, and operational support for fund-regulation workstreams
- Maintain templates, clause libraries, playbooks, precedents, data taxonomies, and capture standards that enable consistent reporting and downstream automation
What's required
- At least eight years of experience in legal operations, legal project management, or a comparable operational role
- Experience working in a law firm, asset manager, bank, or other regulated financial institution
- Hands-on experience implementing, administering, or operating a document management system
- Demonstrated ownership of legal processes, vendor and outside counsel management, metrics, and reporting
- Strong project management skills with the ability to run multiple workstreams to completion with minimal oversight
- Excellent judgment when handling confidentiality, privilege, and sensitive information in a high-trust environment
- Strong data orientation, including designing taxonomies, defining data capture requirements, and translating operational data into actionable reporting
- Comfort with legal technology, automation, and AI-enabled workflows, with a practical understanding of how they can improve legal work
- Proven ability to drive process and technology adoption across teams through training, measurement, and stakeholder engagement
