Legal Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of matters as a Legal Project Manager, incorporating key project management tasks such as: planning, pricing, coordination, reporting, financial and budget management, risk tracking, client liaison and post-matter review;
  • Develop and maintain matter plans, budgets, risk registers, reporting frameworks and other project management tools, providing timely and structured updates to matter teams, partners and clients;
  • Advise matter teams on how to use LPM, Matter Optimisation services and LegalTech solutions to improve matter delivery, maximise efficiency gains and support informed decision-making;
  • Deliver and actively manage LegalTech solutions on matters within the Luxembourg office and across the global teams as required, including AI solutions, transaction delivery tools and deal or matter management platforms;
  • Work with LegalTech product leads and relevant business teams, including finance, pricing, knowledge and legal technology, to coordinate effective matter support in line with the matter team’s priorities;
  • Identify opportunities to involve other Matter Optimisation delivery teams and resources, including paralegals, legal technology and wider business teams, where this would enhance client delivery or create additional value;
  • Although the focus of the responsibilities is on matter-related client work, the role will also support pitches, client-facing presentations and internal engagement activity to raise the profile of the European LPM and LegalTech offering, while sharing good practice and contributing to continuous improvement across the team;
  • Conduct matter take-on conversations to understand requirements at the outset, advise how LPM support can best be leveraged and cross-sell other Matter Optimisation services where appropriate;
  • Join relevant internal and attend relevant global or regional Matter Optimisation meetings, calls and events to share learning, remain connected to best practice and support collaboration across the function;
  • Proactively identify risks, issues, scope changes and delivery challenges, proposing pragmatic solutions and escalating appropriately to the matter team where required.
