Logistics Specialist (Second Shift)

The Logistics Specialist is responsible assisting the Logistics Supervisor in coordinating the shipping activities for outbound shipments and ensuring timely delivery of products to customers and distribution centers. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and customer-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position plays a key role in supporting operational excellence by improving logistics processes, maintaining accurate shipment documentation, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance delivery performance and supply chain efficiency. Second shift hours are from 3:00pm - 11:00pm ET. Please note: This position requires 100% in-office presence in our Jacksonville, FL offices and does not offer remote work. Key Responsibilities: Assist / Coordinate and monitor the transportation of goods ensuring timely delivery to customers and distribution centers. Assist / Oversee outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments. Communication and Coordination: Serve as a liaison between internal teams, external partners, and customers to facilitate smooth logistics operations and resolve any issues or concerns that may arise. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and documentation requirements for domestic and international shipments, including customs clearance and export/import regulations. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to shipments, and logistics operations. Upload all shipping documentation, including pre-ship photos, packing slips and Bill of Lading (BOL) into WorkNet. Customer Service: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by responding promptly to inquiries, providing updates on shipment status, and addressing any concerns or issues related to logistics. Adhere to established safety guidelines and procedures. Cover for the Shipping Supervisor when absent and any other duties as required by the manager / supervisor. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. 1-2 years’ experience in shipping/receiving, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately track and manage shipments, and documentation, ensuring all logistical tasks are executed with precision.
