SUMMARY At Magnolia, the Waitstaff is responsible for creating the Magnolia Table experience for guests by providing prompt service, delivering quality products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable restaurant environment. This position ensures the highest level of customer care for guests by providing exceptional service and assistance. This position works from Magnolia Table in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Assistant Front of House Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure the highest level of guest care, in line with Magnolia’s brand Greet and escort guests to their table when necessary Ensure steps of service are followed for exceptional guest experience* Present menu and provide information (portions, ingredients, food allergies, etc.) Suggestive selling seasonal specials and beverages* Relay orders to kitchen by recording guest choices, identifying special dietary needs, and taking note of special requests Serve orders by running food from kitchen and delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars* Contribute to opening/running/closing side work (brewing coffee/tea, stocking beverage stations, filling water carafes, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, etc.)* Contribute to a safe and clean working environment* Perform other duties as assigned *Metrics evaluated on Performance Review COMPETENCIES Teamwork: Contribute to a team environment supporting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred 0-1 years of related work experience preferred Food Handler's license and TABC certification required upon hire Must be available to work weekends, nights, special events, and holidays as business needs require PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and arms to reach, handle, feel; utilize fine motor dexterity of fingers; talk or hear and taste or smell.
